Polarkonsult is playing a vital role in some of Northern Norway’s largest industrial projects. With a growing number of assignments, we’re expanding our team in the upcoming years. Currently, Polarkonsult AS has 35 employees across different departments, with offices in Svolvær, Bergen, Stavanger, and our main headquarters in Harstad. We’re also planning to open an office in Narvik, so if you’re in that region, we’d love to hear from you.

For decades, we’ve been providing top-notch consulting and engineering services, especially in ship design. In recent years, our scope has extended to the energy, oil, and gas sectors, where we’re now seeing a significant increase in orders.

We are now looking for an electrical engineer who will become part of our team and help further develop Polarkonsult.

Work assignments and responsibilities

As an electrical engineer will you:

Prepare and evaluate electrical designs and technical solutions
Participate in projects and interdisciplinary teams, both internally and with customers.
Perform electrical calculations and analysis
Prepare electrical drawings and documentation.
Contribute to the development and optimization of electrical systems and processes.
Keep up to date with industry development and technology.
Ensure that projects and solutions comply with current regulations and standards.

Qualifications and characteristics

We are searching for you who have:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, electric power engineering, or equivalent.
Preferably with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within energy, oil, and gas.
Experience with electrical design and calculations.
Good collaboration and communications skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
Independent and results-oriented work style.
Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and deliver under time pressure.
