Norwegian Flag Registration for Vessel Havdønn, Gerd Stensen AS

We provided technical support and regulatory assistance to the shipowner, Gerd Stensen AS, for the successful transfer of the vessel Havdønn from the Dutch flag to the Norwegian flag.
Our scope covered full coordination between the shipowner, shipyard/builder, classification society, and both flag administrations. We managed all technical correspondence related to the change of registry, ensuring alignment with applicable Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA) requirements and relevant international conventions.
Review of existing vessel documentation against Norwegian flag requirements
Identification and resolution of documentation gaps and non-compliances
Coordination and collection of missing technical drawings and certificates
Support with statutory documentation, manuals, and approval packages
Follow-up on flag-state comments and technical queries until final acceptance
Through systematic document control, structured communication, and continuous technical follow-up, the vessel achieved full compliance with Norwegian flag regulations within the agreed timeframe. The project was executed with minimal operational impact and without delays to the delivery or operational schedule.
This project demonstrates our technical capability in flag state transfer management, technical compliance verification, and regulatory documentation control for complex newbuilding and in-service vessels.
