Senior process engineer

Does it sound interesting helping to further develop Northern Norway’s largest, locally owned engineering company in the role of senior process engineer?

Polarkonsult is playing a vital role in some of Northern Norway’s largest industrial projects. With a growing number of assignments, we’re expanding our team in the upcoming years. Currently, Polarkonsult AS has 35 employees across different departments, with offices in Svolvær, Bergen, Stavanger, and our main headquarters in Harstad. We’re also planning to open an office in Narvik, so if you’re in that region, we’d love to hear from you.

For decades, we’ve been providing top-notch consulting and engineering services, especially in ship design. In recent years, our scope has extended to the energy, oil, and gas sectors, where we’re now seeing a significant increase in orders.

We are now looking for a senior process engineer who will become part of our team and help further develop Polarkonsult.

Work assignments and responsibilities

As a senior process engineer will you:

  • Prepare and evaluate process design and technical solutions.
  • Responsible for/participation in projects and interdisciplinary teams, both internally and with customers.
  • Responsible for carrying out process simulations and calculations.
  • Responsible for preparing P&ID diagrams and process descriptions.
  • Continuous improvements and optimization of processes and solutions
  • Keep up to date with industry development and technology.
  • Ensure that projects and solutions comply with current regulations and standards.

Qualifications and characteristics

We are searching for you who have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in process, chemical, or petroleum engineering.
  • Preferably with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within energy, oil, and gas.
  • Experience with process simulations and technical design.
  • Good collaboration and communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
  • Independent and result-oriented work style.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
