Polarkonsult is playing a vital role in some of Northern Norway’s largest industrial projects. With a growing number of assignments, we’re expanding our team in the upcoming years. Currently, Polarkonsult AS has 35 employees across different departments, with offices in Svolvær, Bergen, Stavanger, and our main headquarters in Harstad. We’re also planning to open an office in Narvik, so if you’re in that region, we’d love to hear from you.
For decades, we’ve been providing top-notch consulting and engineering services, especially in ship design. In recent years, our scope has extended to the energy, oil, and gas sectors, where we’re now seeing a significant increase in orders.
We are now looking for a project manager who will become part of our team and help further develop Polarkonsult.

Work assignments and responsibilities
As a project manager will you:
- Lead projects from the development of the concept to the finished product, including planning, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, designers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Monitor the progress and quality of the projects and ensure that they adhere to schedules and budgets.
- Identify and manage risks and problems and develop solutions to overcome challenges.
- Communicate clearly and efficiently with team members and management, and report on the project´s status and progression.
Qualifications and characteristics
We are searching for you who have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Preferably 3-5 years experience as a project manager, preferably within the maritime or offshore energy sector.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and coordinate interdisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in Norwegian and English.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
