MV Gunnerus<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00a0<\/p>

MV Gunnerus is a compact, but fully equipped and advanced research vessel with diesel electric propulsion, dynamic positioning, HiPap installation for a extensive research activities. Low hydroacoustic noise levelse has been achived close to ICES 209. Compared to the size and low cost, the Owner NTNU of Trondheim is very satisfied with the vessel.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Polarkonsult has carried out design and engineering for two major conversions in 2012 and 2017-18<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Installation of new Permanent Magnet (PM) azimuth thrusters, <\/span><\/b>2012<\/span><\/b>\u00a0
As a development project, Rolls Royce Marine, installed new PM rotatable thrusters replacing the original propeller plants. Polarkonsult carried out a design- and engineering package for the work carried out at Moen Marine AS<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Lengthening and modification, <\/span><\/b>2017-18<\/span><\/b>\u00a0
In cooperation with NTNU, we have carried out a tender design package for the lengthening of 5 m including installation of ROV facilities, new crane, accommodation, etc. The conversion will be carried out in 2018.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Polarkonsult has also an advisory role for NTNU in connection with handling of the Tender.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
